Wow.... and High Five for Friday

Wow, it's been ten, 10 whole days since I've sat down and did anything on here!! So much has happen ... were to start!! I guess at kind of the beginning... We brought The Boyz home last Saturday!! (just let me say....woot woot!!) It has been kind of insane every since, a mostly good kind of insane.... but insane none the less. I think it's going to be a wild and crazy ride with all of us figuring each other out, our own quirks.... what works, what doesn't.
E, is an amazingly resilient kid who so far as shown a pretty cool sense of humor, has a lopsided grin.... and amazing eyes! He's also pretty shy and likes to read... and of course play on his ds!!
TJ is my happy boy!! You would not believe the smile on this kid....  he looks up at me and smiles and I want to give him the whole world. But he also really enjoys his cars and games... any game as long as you'll play with him.... (I mentioned that smile?)  And is amazed that we read every night.
The baby..... aw, The baby is as sweet and cuddly as they come till he doesn't get his way... then boy, it's Katie bar the door!! He has a temper and he's not afraid to use it! But he also has an angelic smile and when he wraps his little arms around my neck..... I just melt! But we are still all getting used to each other.... so melting isn't really an option.
Our Little Guy is a bit taken aback by having to share, his toys, his room and his Mom and Dad... but I think with lots of hugs, kisses and I Love Yous he'll get the hang of it. Plus everybody has a few toys they don't have to share!! So I think that'll help to. (I hope!)
And we are going to re-arrange the bedrooms again..... E is going to have his own room. ( there goes my craft closet... for now. Look for it somewhere else...) TJ and The Baby are going to share cuz they are on the same internal clock and Our Little Guy will go back to having his own room!! (Poor kid hasn't slept his normal sleep in a week!) So hopefully that will help.....  fingers crossed!!

I hope everybody had a great Christmas!! Ours was fantastic!!
                                                                  TGIF!

YOLO Mondays

Mondays would be much better if they started much later..... But nope 5:30 am alarm, (all the while trying not to think of Mr. Crazy.... SNORING!!!) to get Our Little Guy up at 6:30.... who picks this morning to decide to have a melt down about not standing to pee..... GERRRR .... and I have to admit.... he won. HE sat.... and I drank more coffee, (we did have a chat about standing on the way home from school). So hopefully I'll win the war!! We did have a pretty great weekend.... got to have The Boyz all weekend, the only draw back (besides having to take them back....) was all three of them were sick!! Boo Hoo..... so R,R and M were on tap along with cough syrup and vicks!! So it was a lazy dazy weekend. That I didn't want to end.  I did find out I love leggings!!! Love....Love .....Love them!!! Who knew you could wear a pair of leggings and one of the Mr's old button downs with a tank  and call it a outfit!! I am so happy..... comfy and put together!!  My new go to uniform..... I just need more leggings!!

Blogger Day of Silence

To the blog world and anyone else who wants to help...

Friday, December 14, 2012, tragedy struck.
An elementary school and a small town in Connecticut were shattered by an unthinkable tragedy.
Families were torn apart.
And the rest of the country was left mourning for these families and asking why.
I cannot even imagine the unspeakable pain that the people connected to this must feel.
I can only hope and pray that they know God and that they can rely on Him during this time.
Some bloggers knew they wanted to help, and they came up with this:

Donations can now be directly made to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund. Please visit: https://newtown.uwwesternct.org/

On Tuesday, December 18th, there will be a blogger day of silence. We will post the button and that's it. Please try to not post anything else that day if possible.

We are also raising money that will go to an organization in the memory of this tragedy. The organization is called Sandy Hook School Support Fund. Here is the official address of the support service we are donating to:

Sandy Hook School Support Fund
c/o Newtown Savings Bank
39 Main Street, Newtown CT 06470

DONATIONS CAN STILL MADE TO NEWTOWN YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES WILL BE DONATED DIRECTLY TO THOSE EFFECTED BY THE SANDY HOOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SHOOTING.

Please visit THIS PAGE to make your donation.

We can't imagine how they must be feeling, especially this close to the holidays. We would love for you to spread the word on your own blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Let's make a difference and use our blogging voices to spread love, hope and our prayers to all those who were directly effected from this tragedy. Thank you in advance for participating and God bless.

Love,
The Blog World
Thank you to NeelyMeg and Michelle for starting this movement.

It's been Tuesday all day

Hmm, it's been a day all day Our Little Guy came home sick yesterday.... and was still feeling puny today, fever and just out of sorts. Like all the men in my little world when he's sick.... I'd better be prepared to fetch, carry and entertain!  I am starting to feel less sympathetic..... (sad but true) Fortunately for us all he's feeling better and Mr. Crazy is home..... to help. But on that note.... I hear the cutest little voice..... mmoommmm......where are you. Which is my cue.

Christmas Mantle and a Link Up!

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at the Crazy household.... I have to say I haven't really decorated the last few years.... But this year I'm decorating, the older kids are coming home.... (at least 2 of them are) we will have Our Little Guy and The Boys!! So I'm feeling Christmas this year! So here is my contribution to the Christmas Mantle Link up... I had a lot of fun with it this year. I didn't take any pictures of the making.... (I keep forgetting....) but the end results I'm pretty happy with. Except I need more stockings!! ;)

I used 4 different garlands, your typical evergreen one, a light green (kind of lacy feeling) flowering garland, a holly one and a really cool fringy gold one. There are a few flower picks, the shiny red, pine cones and berries, sticks outta the trees in the yard. The vases are spray painted red and gold.... with rubber bands to make the stripes, the Noel is cut from a old box, covered in scrapbook paper, with a red berry mini wreath. The big wreath started life as a plain evergreen wreath, I stuck 2 different kinds of eucalyptus stems in it and added the glass balls.

                                                            Holiday

Y'all gotta check out the Mantles... and Fantles.... amazing! I can't peg my favorite!!

Christmas Craft and a Link Party

So today I'm gonna link up with Cassie over at Hi Sugarplum, if you haven't been there yet.... go!! She has some really really good ideas, and her Christmas craft.... to cute!!

Christmas LinkUp

My craft was Cone Trees... they turned out super cute, (if I do say so). So I'm now gonna share how I made them....

Cut strips of wrapping paper
You wanna end up with squares of wrapping paper

Twist in to a cone shape
Add a piece tape to hold

Tape to wrapping paper tube
Try to overlap the row before
See

Finish by folding the top row into tube.

Top off with your choice of tree toppers

I have a 40 inch, 25 inch and a 11 inch tree.
On the 40 inch one I used 2 rows of 9 inch squares, 2 rows of 8 inch, 2 rows of 7 inch, 2 rows of 6 inch, 2 rows of 5 inch, and 2 rows of 4 inch.
On the  25 inch tree I started at 8 inch squares and went down from there.
On the 11 inch tree I started with 6 inch squares and went from there.

If you want fuller trees put the rows of cones closer together..... fuller apart for a skinnier tree

There is a much better tutorial with a chart and everything at.....  Crafts for all Seasons

YOLO Mondays

I'm sooo glad it's Monday! I have the house all to myself.... Mr. Crazy is off to work, Our Little Guy is off to school, I can watch Stephen King movies all day (while doing the laundry) and recoup from this crazy weekend. Mr. Crazy and I both had our separate projects going on as well as entertaining Our Little Guy, which is always fun!! The Mister built 2 twin beds this weekend and boy, are they beautiful.... I love it when he puts his hand to wood, (and I wish I could build stuff like that) He gets an idea in his head and ta-dah..... furniture. Now all we need is mattresses and box springs. I got all the bedding washed..... the carpets shampooed.... and all the Christmas decorating done (at least as much as I'm gonna do!!) So it was a very productive weekend!! But I'm sooo glad it's Monday.
